As a class, we were asked to pick a piece of paper which contained the name of a icon out of a bag at random. We then were asked to design a peice that represented that hero. I chose John Lennon.
My aim is to en-capture Tim Marrs' style through my own design i did this by thresholding a google image of Lennon, changing the colour of the image as well as doubling and flipping to create a duplicate. I then took another image off of google, the background union jack to represent John Lennon's strong British Culture, i changed the original colours and played around with contrasting to give the entire piece the vibrant tones which reflect Mars' distinctive style.
